Area Sales Manager

A leading manufacturer of specialist metal cutting tooling and equipment supplied to the advanced manufacturing sectors has a new vacancy for an Area Sales Manager. Applicants are sought with a strong understanding of machining processes, and you will be responsible for implementing sales strategies, generating new business, and building strong customer relationships.


Commutable from: Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Runcorn, Chester.

Salary: £ 45,000 - £ 52,000 + company car + bonus + benefits

Suitable for: Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Applications Engineer.


The Role

Responsible for developing existing accounts and identifying new opportunities you will provide customers with skilled and knowledgeable support on products and services. Forging long term relationships with customers and distributors you will keep them updated of new products and company news.

Responsibilities will include:

Track and report on sales performance, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
Identify and generate new business opportunities, expanding our customer base.
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to support business growth.
Collaborate with the team to respond effectively to customer needs and requirements.
Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales and market penetration in the assigned territory.
Presenting & demonstrating tooling.


The Person

The successful candidate will have good knowledge of CNC machining and metal cutting with experience in the aerospace, oil & gas or automotive industries.

With excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will be resourceful with strong problem-solving capabilities and competent in using various IT tools and software for sales and reporting.
