Systems Architect

We are seeking a Systems Architect to join their team on a permanent or contract basis.  You will work at the head office based in the Bedfordshire area, where site presence is required 4 days per week.

The Role:

Systems Architect is a role engaged in the development of next generation Electronic Warfare/Radar Systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to develop requirements, models and system architectures.
• Contribute to a clear architectural vision, supporting capability roadmaps for development of products for the short, medium and long term.
• Support the development of Architecting methodologies.
• Apply system of system and product development approaches to ensure alignment and efficiencies across the project.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand system needs and constraints.
• Derive functional and behavioural aspects of a system.
• Apportion and budget performance across a system or system of systems.
• Work with the Project Manager to estimate the cost based on alternative solutions.
• Play an essential role in the broader systems engineering team, assisting with best practises in Model Based Systems Engineering, Systems Architecture and Systems Engineering.
• Mentor and coach colleagues in System Architecture skills and practices.   

The Person

• Experience of requirements management planning.
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools, Cameo Systems Modeller or MATLAB.
• Familiar with Radio Frequency (RF) system design and operation.
• Previous experience liaising with Engineer across disciplines.
• Ability to collect verification evidence and supporting data, collating against verification matrix for compliance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• MUST either hold current SC or be eligible to gain security clearance (5yrs UK residence).
