Manufacturing Engineer

Due to a growing order book and expansion, a leading precision manufacturing group has a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will develop manufacturing process to develop cost effective production methods while ensuring the highest standards of quality, candidates are sought with a good understanding of machining methods and CNC programming skills.


Commutable from: Grantham, Sleaford, Peterborough, Spalding, Newark On Trent.

Salary: £ 40,000 - £ 55,000 p.a. + benefits

Suitable for: Manufacturing Engineer, Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer.


The Role

Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimise resource utilisation.
Develop and optimise CNC programs for machining high precision components.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models to create precise machining instructions.
Develop and implement manufacturing techniques and technologies to streamline production workflows and increase output capacity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new processes seamlessly into the manufacturing environment.
Provide technical support and guidance to production teams.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and enhance product quality


The Candidate

Degree or HND qualified in mechanical engineering or relevant technical subject.
Proven experience in CNC programming and machining methods.
Experienced in CAD/CAM software and CNC machine programming languages.
In-depth working knowledge of complex components and processes such as multi axis conventional and non-conventional machining.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross functional teams. 
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
