Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting a globally renowned engineering and manufacturing R&D organisation involved in state-of-the-art research and innovation projects to promote sustainable futures, advancements in materials science and technology and more effective methods of manufacturing. They are seeking a Factory Manager to join the current team onsite.


Commutable from:  Sheffield, Chesterfield, Rotherham, Mansfield

Salary: £ 46,974 - £ 56,021 + Excellent Benefits including enhanced pension + enhanced annual leave + incredible progression and development opportunities.


The Role

The Factory Manager will work within the Project Delivery team to leading and overseeing the manufacturing operations within the facility, you will ensure the manufacturing capability is available to enable the project teams to deliver their required work packages.

You will ensure packages of work are delivered on time and within the required budgets with a strong emphasis on quality, delivery and safety.

The Factory Manager will utilise in-depth project lifecycle knowledge and will manage people, budgets and continuous improvement projects.

You will train and mentor team members and ensure the appropriate documentation and certification requirements are achieved.


The Person

The successful candidate will possess a proven management background in a manufacturing environment and ideally conversant within working in an environment requiring a high level of certification and governance.

You will be comfortable leading manufacturing processes including handling the requisite data outputs and ensuring best practice throughout the manufacturing space.

You will demonstrate ideally a good level of understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, test and inspection and additive manufacturing.

Previous experience in leading and developing team members including people management, coaching and mentoring and integrating modern methods of manufacturing including digital manufacturing are highly valued for the role.
